PCHEA

Pottawatomie Christian Home Educators Association

We are Christianin orientation and leadership, as are most of our members, but we do not exclude anyone from membership on the basis of their doctrinal beliefs.

We are home educators*committed to helping each other accomplish our educational goals, to support one another in love and to strengthen and promote quality home education in our area.

We are families who espouse various educational philosophies, use a wide spectrum of curricula, and teach children at many levels from pre-school through high school.

We are one of many groupsaffiliated with OCHEC - Oklahoma Central Home Educator’s Consociation (www.ochec.com)

*PCHEA believes that home schooling is the privately funded, home-based education of children by their parents or guardians. Therefore, we do not provide membership to families participating in government-funded virtual, charter, or any form of public school at home programs. If your family needs help in transitioning from a government-funded program, we are glad to assist you with information and support.

Box Tops

Collect Box Tops and earn money for PCHEA!

Last school year we earned over $200 through Box Top! With our earnings, PCHEA members were able to take a field trip with the Creation Truth Foundation at the Sam Noble Museum.  Also, we have been able to provide new equipment for P.E. and valuable resources on getting started to new homeschooling families.  Please continue to clip and collect Box Tops.

Trisha Houghton is your Box Tops Coordinator, so please save those box tops and then pass them on to Trisha at PCHEA events, by mail, or at your convenience.

"We all shop for groceries, sometimes two or three times a week –- or more. Now turn those shopping trip into easy cash for your school, and encourage friends to do the same! Just look for the Box Tops logo on hundreds of products like Cheerios®, Hamburger Helper® and Kleenex®, in almost every aisle of the store. All you need to do is clip and send them to your school’s Box Tops coordinator —- each one is worth 10¢ for your school. "
